Tressa has been involved in the health and wellness industry for 10 years. She is a Power Pilates Teacher Trainer and co-owner of Evolutions Body Clinic. She is currently studying for the American College of Sports Medicine, Clinical Exercise Specialist certification. She graduated in 1998 from James Madison University with a B.S. in Kinesiology and was designated Kinesiology Student of the Year. She specializes in Pilates/core fusion training and customized personal training programs.
Why does she enjoy teaching in the fitness industry? “I love being creative with clients who have special needs and figuring out a plan for optimum fitness.” She is very conscious of how she, as a teacher, influences her client’s success, “Be present. Be mindful of how your thoughts, words and actions affect people.” Her background in Kinesiology (study of movement) is also an important influence in her own life, “Fitness is, and has always been, a way of life for me. From the many sports I have played, to the classes I teach and love to take, movement continues to inspire me from the inside out.”
Tressa grew up in Severna Park, MD and is happy to have her friends and family (including her Evolutions family) so close to her. She enjoys spending time in D.C and New York exploring museums, dining out at the many restaurants and participating in the great fitness classes that both cities offer. In her free time, she enjoys running, going to the movies, reading and meditating.
